"Writing to Published Author Club" is a writing club where learners become published authors, having their stories and poems published in our CAVA Voices 25/26 edition. Students will either write or select a prewritten original short story or poem, participate in supportive writing workshops, and have their work professionally published in both digital and print books! Through creativity, collaboration, and reflection, students build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and celebrate their unique voices in a real-world publishing experience. Every student will receive a free digital copy of their book!

"Writing to Published Author Club" is a writing club where learners become published authors, having their stories and poems published in our CAVA Voices 25/26 edition. Students will either write or select a prewritten original short story or poem, participate in supportive writing workshops, and have their work professionally published in both digital and print books! Through creativity, collaboration, and reflection, students build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and celebrate their unique voices in a real-world publishing experience. Every student will receive a free digital copy of their book!

The arboretum and Botanical Garden at Cal State Fullerton is a plant museum for people of all ages to learn about plants from around the world. We will observe wildlife in their natural habitat, and enjoy the beautiful scenery Southern California offers.

I would love to have you join me! It is free to enter, but the suggested entrance donation is $5 per person, and I encourage you if you can, to donate to keep this museum going.

Club Description: Express your creativity in art! Members will celebrate diversity by studying and creating works inspired by a wide range of artists, from the classic to contemporary. Materials needed: Printer paper, pencil, black marker, crayons, watercolor

"Writing to Published Author Club" is a writing club where learners become published authors, having their stories and poems published in our CAVA Voices 25/26 edition. Students will either write or select a prewritten original short story or poem, participate in supportive writing workshops, and have their work professionally published in both digital and print books! Through creativity, collaboration, and reflection, students build confidence, strengthen literacy skills, and celebrate their unique voices in a real-world publishing experience. Every student will receive a free digital copy of their book!

This can be combined with other clubs.

We will meet at 9:45 AM across from the zoo entrance to collect the money and check everyone in before entering together as a group.

Please note that any attendees arriving after the group has entered the zoo will need to pay the regular admission rate at the zoo entrance.

Attendees are welcome to stay at the zoo as long as they would like after we enter.

If you plan to bring a lunch, the zoo asks that you eat it at the park across the street. There is also food available for purchase inside the zoo, and the zoo has a gift shop as well.

Meet at the Box Office and main entrance of the California Science Center. It is the large glass-fronted building directly facing Exposition Park Drive. Look for the group near the entrance doors — a chaperone will be holding a sign with the school name. Please arrive by 12:50 PM so we can start on time.

1:10PM Purchase tickets IMAX tickets which will range from $12 to $15 PER PERSON. [ I HIGHLY SUGGEST BUYING TICKETS IN ADVANCE ]

1:30 IMAX ANTARTICA 3D at 1:30PM

2:15PM: Snack Break

2:30PM-2:55PM: Free to explore

I will have Costco pizza available (cheese and pepperoni). Families are welcome to bring a store-bought item to share if they would like. Please ensure that any shared food is store-bought and nut-free.

I will have a few casual games available, and students/families are welcome to bring lawn games or board games to share as well.

We will meet near the main playground and adjacent grass area. Look for the purple tablecloth to find our group.

This is a casual, drop-in style event, so feel free to come for as much or as little time as your schedule allows. All students must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or learning coach for the duration of the meetup.

Please remember to bring water, sunscreen, and anything else you may need to be comfortable outdoors.
